A Matter Of Life And Death 2

Men live two different kinds of lives. One is a life with Jesus in it and the other is a life without Him. The two kinds of life are so different that God calls one of them life the other death.

1 John 3:14: We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.

Romans 6:11: Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6:13: Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.

Individuals who receive Jesus have life and individuals who reject Him remain spiritually dead.

1 John 5:12: He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

We have physical bodies and we have spirits.

2 Corinthians 4:16: For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day.

The generation of believers that will be physically alive when Jesus returns to meet them in the air will not die physically. They shall be changed.

1 Corinthians 15:51: Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

1 Thessalonians 4:15b: We which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
